TV operators, and further expansion is under way. Within this six months we

Presently, NHK
World / jibtv 24 hour channel has achieved the distribution target of covering
111 million households and is continuing to develop and expand worldwide
distribution.
Furthermore,
when we include the service providers who broadcast NHK World /jibtv programs
on a limited day/hour basis, the number reaches 134 million households in 66
countries as of August 2009.
NHK World has
been broadcasting their programs on global satellite and regional satellite
around the world since their launch in 1995.
As a new NHK subsidiary company, Japan International Broadcasting Inc.
was formed and is dedicated to strengthening the worldwide distribution of the relaunched
NHK World TV / jibtv channel.
After
covering Australia, India and the Middle East last year, we are constantly
working to strengthen our distribution network, especially in Europe, Asia and
the U.S. We are also in a fit state to
close new deals with African countries in the second half of this year. And now
our next challenge will be expanding the North American region.
