Japan TV Showcase: 6 part series program, reporting on the activities of Japanese who are working to offer a helping hand for the people around the world.
In the second installment of "WILLING HANDS", the theme is "skill", featuring on a Japanese couple working in Sri Lanka, Negombo to teach the way to prepare and make "Japanese style dried fish".
Even though they can catch plenty of fish at their adjacent sea, they need "dried fish" as a preservative food, because of lack of diffusion of refrigerator caused by poverty and shortage of power supply.
Mr. Murakami who used to work on a ship, draw on his experiences and knowledge and teach the know-how to the local people.
